Spilsbury, J. F., and S. Wilkinson The Isolation of Festuclavine and Two New Clavine Alkaloids from Aspergillus Fumigatus Fres. J. chem. Soc. [London] 1961, 2085. [Pg.192]

Several non-sulphanyl dioxopiperarine derivatives were identified from broth supernatant and mycelial cake after fermentation of the BM939 strain of Aspergillus fumigatus Fres. (Trichocomaceae). The culture media in which these metabolites were isolated contained no seawater or substitute [123,124]. Nonetheless, as this strain was obtained from a sea sediment sample collected at a depth of 760 meters off the coast of Japan, it was included exceptionally in this study. Nine new substances have been identified tryprostatins A (107 a pale-yellow crystalline solid extraction yield 0.42 10 32,83 10 3 mg/l) and B (108 a pale-yellow... [Pg.1036]
