Ascorbic Acid Transport, Transporting Proteins, and Receptors

3 ASCORBIC ACID TRANSPORT, TRANSPORTING PROTEINS, AND RECEPTORS 

Although numerous receptors of vitamin A, D, and E have been described for a long time, there is no publication related to proteins that could act as a receptor of AA. 

However, at least two transporters of AA have been reported. Thus we will describe regulation of the flux of AA entering cells and proteins involved in this process. Finally, we will describe the possibility that SVCT2 could act as a receptor of A A.
