Thioacylation arenes

Thioacylation of Arenes and Carbanions under Formation of Carbon-Carbon Bonds... 

As in previous sections of this chapter, only short comments will be made on this type of thioacylation. Reaction of benzene and activated arenes with alkyl or aryl chlorodithioformates under Friedel-Crafts conditions or with (alkylthio)thiocarbonyl hexafluoroantimonates, (RSC=S) SbFs", results in formation of the corresponding arenecarbodithioates. Three interesting new examples, (74), (75) and (76), may illustrate the scope of the reaction.
