The synthetic approaches leading to hydroperoxy acids have mosdy consisted of indirect oxidations of arachidonic add. Various methods have been described. Oxidation with air [205], with singlet oxygen [206,207], with H2O2 in presence of Cu [208,209], give mixtures of H(P)ETE isomers that can be separated on HPLC. [Pg.139]
