Application HPOPs

In this chapter, the application of various spectroscopic, chromatographic, X-ray and microscopic techniques to the analysis and characterization of HPOPs will be presented. In so doing, however, it must be stressed that because of sheer space limitations it would be impractical to cover all aspects of the methods currently used to analyze, identify and characterize today s pigment products and related materials. Mention should therefore be made of the following fourteen techniques, which are not discussed in detail here but are all in use today in pigments laboratories and are worthy of further study. [Pg.334]

Application of Solid Probe El Mass Spectrometry to the analysis of HPOP... [Pg.344]

The purpose of this section is to present some practical information of the application of powder X-ray diffraction (XRD) to the characterization of HPOP. [Pg.351]

Valued for their improved overall durability and color, HPOPs are used in a wide range of industrial applications (coatings, plastics printing inks, building... [Pg.357]

There are numerous references regarding X-ray powder data of HPOPs. For information on such data the reader is referred to an excellent review that was published by Whiyaker [21] in 1995. The purpose of this work is to present practical information of the application of powder XRD to the characterization of HPOP. [Pg.382]

The following examples illustrate the applicability of ultracentrifugal sedimentation to particle size distribution of HPOP. Ultracentrifugal sedimentation has been used to determine the cause of the color strength loss of C.I. PR254 powder... [Pg.399]
