Application evolution of sediments in wetlands

The quality of a peatland and its environment has been studied [25]. The Grand Mare (sampling stations 4 and 5) is a peatland of 47 ha, located in a wetland of the Seine estuary, the Vernier Marsh. Since it is the lowest part of the marsh, all annexes converge in it le Ruel (sampling station 1), Petite Mare (sampling station 2) and la Crevasse [Pg.262]

The differences between samples of annexes (1, 2 and 3) and samples of the pond (4, 5) are the crests of the peaks. An evolution or humification index could be the ratio of the absorbance measured at these two wavelengths. The study of the C/N ratio evolution shows a gradient of mineralisation from the annexes to the Grand Mare. [Pg.263]
