Antistatic agents containing sulfur

Antistatic agents that contain sulfur include compounds such as sulfates, sulfonates, derivatives of aminosulfonic acids, condensation products of ethylenox-ide and sulfonamides, and sulfonates of alkylbenzimidazols or of dithiocar-bamides and sulfides [14]. [Pg.131]

They are recommended mainly for PVC and PS because they do not interfere with heat stabilizers. They are not suitable for polyolefins, polyamides, and PMMA [13]. As examples, there are alkylpolyglycolether sulfates [Pg.131]

U V fluorescent sulfur detection and chemiluminescent nitrogen methods have been developed for total sulfur only, nitrogen only or simultaneous sul-fur/nitrogen analysis. These systems provide quick automated analysis to estimate the type and amount of sulfur and nitrogen-containing additives present in a polyolefin sample, i.e. slip agents, antistatics. [Pg.81]
