Antioxidants ozone interactions

According to the data presented in Fig. 1 using Eq. (1), we have calculated the rate constant for the interaction of ozone with KN-14-CD and stoichiometric coefficient of this reaction, which is determined by the ratio of the amount of absorbed ozone to the amount of substance reacted. Stoichiometric coefficient of the reaction of ozone with KN-14-CD is 3 (the same as DHQ has) [19]. The rate constant of the interaction of ozone with KN-14 is 5.0x10 1/mol.s. According to our previous study rate constant of the interaction of ozone with DHQ is 1.0x10 1/mol.s. That indicates a greater reaction rate of KH-14-CD with ozone, and hence a higher antioxidant properties of KH-14. [Pg.168]
