Anthocyanin-derived pigments fraction

Table 1. Anthocyanin-derived pigments detected in Port wine fractions eluted from Toyopeari gel column with 20% aqueous ethanol (Fraction A). [Pg.163]

It is also noteworthy that two further pigments could be obtained from the anthocyanin fraction of Pinotage wine, namely die 4-vinylphenol adduct of malvidin 3-glucoside 4 (10 mg) as well as the 4-vinylguaiacol derivative of malvidin 3-glucoside 5. In the latter case, identification has to be considered as tentative because the trace amounts obtained of compound 5 (< 1 mg) did not enable measurement of a complete set of NMR spectroscopic data. [Pg.183]
