Management of functional safety is a new requirement in ANSI/ISA-84.00.01-2004-1, but it has always been considered a necessary activity by OSHA 1910.119 and ANSI/ISA-84.01-1996. The intent of this annex is to provide additional guidance on the management of functional safety. [Pg.55]
