Anhenius plots

At high temperatures there is experimental evidence tlrat the Anhenius plot for some metals is curved, indicating an increased rate of diffusion over tlrat obtained by linear exU apolation of tire lower temperature data. This effect is interpreted to indicate enhanced diffusion via divacancies, rather tlrair single vacaircy-atom exchange. The diffusion coefficient must now be represented by an Anheirius equation in the form... [Pg.174]

Since the straight lines for both crystal forms are parallel, we can conclude that the activation energies for diffusion are the same. Also, the frequency factors on an Anhenius plot can be seen to have very small differences. These equations fit almost all of the experimental results within 5%. [Pg.105]

Figure 8.15 shows the initial stage of weight change of LLDPE by thermal aging at varions temperatures ranging from 90 to 170 °C. The Anhenius plot of the induction period of the samples which have different concentration of antioxidant reagent was shown in Fig. 8.16. The slope of the lines was almost the same. The apparent activation energy was 136 kJ/mol. Figure 8.15 shows the initial stage of weight change of LLDPE by thermal aging at varions temperatures ranging from 90 to 170 °C.
