Angle hand piece

The quickest way to flatten a surface is by using a sintered diamond ring and an angle hand piece (Figure 4.64). [Pg.549]

Articulated arm delivery utilizes an arrangement involving a series of hollow tubes and mirrors. An articulated arm delivery system is shown in Figure 9. The light beam (a laser source) is transmitted through each tube and is then refleeted into the next tube by an appropriate angled mirror. At the exit port, there is a small hand piece that can be hand held to manipulate the beam. [Pg.139]

Right-handed axial system A system of axes, usually orthogonal (at right angles to each other), that are designated 2 , y, and z, in such an order that x is converted to y and y is converted to z in the same manner that a right-handed screw (moving clockwise into a piece of wood) would proceed (with a to y as the clockwise motion and Z the direction into the wood). [Pg.67]

Fig. 211. Over this frame is placed a black diade containing two pieces of mirror-plate so fixed, that when the observer looks at the diaphragm in a direction at tight angles to the divided rod, he sees in the two mirrors a reflection of each side of the waxed paper At the i ht hand extremity of the rodisfixed the standa candle, whilst at the other the gas fiame is allowed to bum, the rate of its condnistion being aoouxately determined by means of the oxpmmentfd gas-meter (p).
