There has been interest in the use of icatibant, a bradykinin antagonist approved for use in the treatment of hereditary angioedema and ACEI-induced angioedema. A 76-year-old man who was having recurrent lisinopril-induced angioedema had a 10-h resolution of symptoms after injection of 30 mg of icatibant. Resolution of symptoms for previous attacks in the man took 48 h for recovery [9 ]. Although a well-designed randomised controlled trial is essential, this case report is an improvement in the earlier case series [SEDA-34,323] in which historical controls were used for comparison.
