Ancistrocladus tectorius

Ancistrocladus tectorius (Lour.) Merr. (entire plant, leaves) Ancistrocladaceae Ancistrocladidine (43) Ancistrotectorine (38,44)... [Pg.2]

Interestingly, atropisomers of fully aromatic naphthylisoquinoline alkaloids from natural sources have been isolated and characterized. Ancistrocladeine 240 was first isolated from Ancistrocladus tectorius and Ancistrocladus ealaensis (75P2699). It was optically inactive in MeOH. [Pg.65]

Ancistrocladus abbreviatus is widely used in folk medicine (Bringmann et al., 1990). Leaves of the Ancistrocladus tectorius are used in Thailand to treat dysentery and malaria (Tantisewie and Ruchirawat, 1992). [Pg.698]

Alkaloid from bark of Ancistrocladus tectorius (Ancistrocladaceae). [Pg.103]

Two naphthalene-isoquinoline groups of alkaloids, ancistrocladidine (53) and ancistrotectorine (54), were isolated from Ancistrocladus heyneanus Wall [295], and A. tectorius (Lour.) Merr [296], respectively. The members of the plant family, ancistrocladaceae, are distributed in tropical Asia and Western Africa. Some are regarded as traditionally medicinal plants. The root of A. tectorius has been used to treat dysentery and malaria [296],... [Pg.54]
