Ampelopsis brevipedunculata

Ampelopsis brevipedunculata (Maxim.) Trautv. Ye Pu Tao Teng (Snake grape) Antitoxic, relieve pain and bleeding, treat arthritis. [Pg.27]

Four oligostilbenes, 21, ampelopsins E (97), H (98) and cis ampelopsin E (99), were obtained from Ampelopsis brevipedunculata var. hancei. Among them, 97 and 99 showed antihepatotoxic activity at a dose of 0.1 mg-ml 1 in the culture medium, reducing the elevation of GPT levels by 64... [Pg.628]

Ampelopsis brevipedunculata Maxim, ex Trautv. roots ampelopsin A (55a) dimer (C28H2207) + 167° (c 2.12, MeOH) [81]... [Pg.522]

More recently, Ito and colleagues [93] were able to independently assign the absolute stereochemistry of another resveratrol oligomer using spectroscopic methods. A sample of (+)-ampelopsin A (55a) from Ampelopsis brevipedunculata var. hancei was converted by chemical means to yield a pentamethyl ketone derivative. Difference NOE spectroscopy was then used to assign the relative stereochemistry and conformation of the molecule in solution. CD spectroscopy of the derivatized (+)-ampelopsin A gave a positive Cotton effect at 357 nm thereby, the authors were able to apply the octant rule and deduce the absolute stereochemistry of (+)-ampelopsin A as shown for 55a. [Pg.551]
