Aminomalononitrile >toluenesulfonate

The synthesis of 5-aminothiazoles via the reaction of isocyanate derivatives with aminomalononitrile p-toluenesulfonate (AMNT) has been investigated. It was found that AMNT 12 reacted with alkyl and aryl isothiocyanates in l-methyl-2-pyrrolidine (NMP) to furnish 5-amino-2-(alkylamino)-4-cyanothiazoles (13a) and 5-amino-2-(arylamino)-4-cyanothiazoles (13b-c) in 44-81 % yields. " ... [Pg.277]

Aminooxazole 11, readily obtained by reaction of N-Boc-L-Val-OH with aminomalononitrile p-toluenesulfonate and EDC in pyridine [5], was converted directly to bromooxazole 12 by in situ bromination via a nitrosamine intermediate. [Pg.323]

The Mannich condensation of diethyl 1-(hydroxycarbonyl)niethylphosphonate with formaldehyde and various secondary aliphatic amines in refluxing CgHg leads to diethyl I -(.V.V-ditilkylami-nomethyl)vinylphosphonates in moderate to good yields (2.9-85%). ° ° Diethyl 1-(hydroxycarbo-nyl)methylphosphonate reacts with aminomalononitrile para-toluenesulfonate in Py at room temperature in the presence of DCC to give 2-phosphonomethyl-5-amino-4-cyano-1,3-oxazole in 86% yield ... [Pg.437]

Malononitrile salts. Electrosynthesis of air-stable potassium and ammonium salts of / -cycanophenyl malononitrile in liquid ammonia on a platinum grid electrode was reported Treating 10 with aliphatic alcohols and hydrohalic acids at elevated pressures gave dialkyl propanediimidate dihydrohalidesAcid addition salts (p-toluenesulfonate, methanesulfonate and hydrochloride) of aminomalononitrile were prepared ". Bis(methylthio)methylene-indanedione 123 reacted with 10 to yield 124 ". ... [Pg.809]
