Amines, Imines, and their Derivatives

Related imino derivatives are characterized as. ..sulfimides,. ..sulfox-imides (Chem. Abstr. uses here names ending with. ..sulfimines and. .. sulfoximines, respectively). 

Cyclic sulfoxides and sulfones ar best reated additively as oxides and dioxides, respectively (see p. 87). 

An acyclic amine terminally substituted by a cyclic system is named either substitutively or conjunctively (radicofunctional and azane names may be obtained as described above). 

Primary diamines and polyamines are most consistently named according to substitutive principles. 

If all amino groups are found in the side chains of a cyclic system, substitutive or conjunctive names are utilized.
