Amidosulphonates

Imidodisulphamide, NH2.S02.NH.S02.NH2, is the first product of the action of ammonium carbamate on pyrosulphuryl chloride.2 It is also obtained when sulphamide is heated nearly to its melting-point. Imidodisulphamide forms needle-shaped colourless crystals, melting at 160° C., and having a distinctly acid taste, since water causes rapid decomposition into sulphamide and amidosulphonic acid ... [Pg.242]

Amidosulphonie acid may also be prepared 5 by passing sulphur dioxide into an aqueous solution of sodium nitrite containing sodium carbonate, until the solution is acid to litmus the nitrilosulphonate which is formed is hydrolysed by the addition of a little concentrated sulphuric acid, amidosulphonate and acid sulphate being formed. The solution is neutralised by the addition of sodium carbonate and the sodium sulphate formed separated by crystallisation the addition of a large excess of concentrated sulphuric acid to the solution then results in the precipitation of amidosulphonie acid. [Pg.244]

Hydrazine Amidosulphonate, NH2.S03.N2H5, may be obtained by adding barium amidosulphonate to a neutral solution of hydrazine sulphate. It is a crystalline solid, slightly soluble in water.3... [Pg.254]

H. Stamm also measured the solubilities of the salts of the alkalies in liquid ammonia —potassium hydroxide, nitrate, sulphate, chromate, oxalate, perchlorate, persulphate, chloride, bromide, iodide, carbonate, and chlorate rubidium chloride, bromide, and sulphate esesium chloride, iodide, carbonate, and sulphate lithium chloride and sulphate sodium phosphate, phosphite, hypophosphite, fluoride, chloride, iodide, bromate, perchlorate, periodate, hyponitrire, nitrite, nitrate, azide, dithionate, chromate, carbonate, oxalate, benzoate, phtnalate, isophthalate ammonium, chloride, chlorate, bromide, iodide, perchlorate, sulphate, sulphite, chromate, molybdate, nitrate, dithionate, thiosulphate, persulphate, thiocyanate, phosphate, phosphite, hypophosphite, arsenate, arsenite, amidosulphonate, ferrocyanide, carbonate, benzoate, methionate, phenylacetate, picrate, salicylate, phenylpropionate, benzoldisulphonate, benzolsulphonate, phthalate, trimesmate, mellitate, aliphatic dicarboxylates, tartrate, fumarate, and maleinate and phenol. [Pg.204]

Ammonia. Amidosulphonic add. Imidosulphonic acid. Nitrilosulphonic acid. [Pg.632]

KH(S03N)2Hg(Hg.0H)2,H20, is obtained. Complete saturation with carbon dioxide under press, gives finally the free acid, (HS03.N)2Hg,0H)2. Sodium mercuric amidosulphonate, NHg.S03Na, is prepared similarly to the potassium salt it forms radiating clusters, or often felted masses, of slender, colourless needles. It differs from the potassium salt in that it is soluble in water on heating, whereas the addition of alkali is necessary to dissolve readily the former salt. [Pg.644]
