Alligator weed

L-Boivinose (2,6-dideoxy-L-. i7o-hexose, 52L), the less abundant enantiomer of boivinose, was found as the flavone C-glycosyl compounds, 6-C-p-L-boivinopyra-nosyl chrysoeriol-7-p-D-glucopyranoside (59) and the 6-C-p-L-boivinopyranosyl glycoside 60 in corn (Zea mays).107 L-Boivinoside 60 has been previously isolated from alligator weed (Alternanthera philoxeroides).108...
