Alkynyl halides cross-coupling reactions

Palladium And/Or Copper-Mediated Cross-Coupling Reactions Between 1-Alkynes And Vinyl, Aryl, 1-Alkynyl, 1,2-Propadienyl, Propargyl And Allylic Halides Or Related Compounds. A Review, Rossi. R. Carpita, A. Beilina, F. Org. Prep. Proceed. Int., 1995, 27, 129... [Pg.22]

The cross-coupling reactions of allenes with components containing sp-carbon atoms are useful synthetic transformations since they provide yne-allenes and enyne-allenes, respectively. Due to the synthetic potential of these classes of carbon-rich unsaturated compounds, the scope and limitations were systematically investigated [1, 16-18]. The first synthetic application was reported in 1981, describing the preparation of alkynyl-substituted allenes by coupling of alkynylzinc chlorides with allenyl halides (Scheme 14.8) [11]. [Pg.851]

Alkynyl(trimethyl)silanes smoothly couple with alkenyl halides at room temperature in the presence of a palladium catalyst and TASF (Eq. 5) [4]. The difference in reactivity between alkynylstannanes and -silanes were utilized in a palladium-catalyzed three component cross-coupling reaction. Thus, the palladium-catalyzed sequential reaction of tributylstannyl(trimethylsilyl)ethyne... [Pg.65]

Oxidative addition [1, 38] of 1-alkenyl, i-alkynyl, allyl, benzyl, and aiyl halides to a palladium(O) complex affords a stable rra .s-<7-palladium(II) complex (11). The reaction proceeds with complete retention of configuration for alkenyl halides and with inversion for allylic and benzylic halides. Alkyl halides having /3-hydrogens are rarely useful because the oxidative addition step is very slow and may compete with /3-hydride elimination from the a-organopalladium(II) species. However, it has been recently shown that iodoalkanes undergo the cross-coupling reaction with organoboron compounds (Section 2.4.5). [Pg.309]

Cross-coupling reactions between 1-alkynyl halides and 1-alkenylboranes, which are readily available via hydroboration of alkynes, can also be catalyzed by Pd-phosphine complexes. Stereoselective synthesis of conjugated ( )-enynes 143 was achieved by the coupling of the alkynyl bromide with an alkenylborane [Eq. (48)] [69]. [Pg.393]
