Radiosumin, a dipeptide isolated from the freshwater blue-green alga Plectonema radiosum (NIES-515). It is composed of the two unusual building blocks 2-amino-3-(4-amino-2-cyclohexen-l-ylidene)propionic acid and 2-amino-3-(4-amino-2-cyclohexy-lidene)propionic acid. The structure has been confirmed by total synthesis. It exhibits a high inhibitory effect against trypsin, and moderate activity against plasmin and thrombin [H. Matsuda et al.,/. Org. Chem. 1996, 61, 8648 T. Shioiri, Y. Hamada, Synlett 2001, 184]. [Pg.322]
