Af with B2 Domains

The individual domains indicated by superscripts 0, are defined through two sets of generating functions for the various generations [Pg.104]

Passing through the stage of cascade substitution for the construction of the path-weight generating functions, one finally arrives at [Pg.104]

For reasons which will become clear later on, we have introduced the abbreviations [Pg.104]

These functions 0 represent the scattering behavior of a full subtree that emerges from a functional group of a monomer selected at random. For instance  [Pg.104]

Coupling of the two domains is achieved by partial reaction of the free end-groups of the two polymeric blocks. The fraction of free A and B groups is (1 - a) and (1 -/3), respectively, and (1 - a)p and (1 - /J) q are the fraction of these free endgroups which may be consumed by the coupling. We thus obtain for the zero-th generations [Pg.105]
