Adsorption of organic molecules under vacuum conditions

Adsorption of organic molecules under vacuum conditions [Pg.351]

Studying the adsorption of organic molecules with the semiconductor surfaces under vacuum conditions allows the reactivity of the reconstructed surfaces to be investigated. In the case of (100)-2 x 1 reconstructed surfaces of silicon and germanium, [Pg.351]

In the following section, a description of the semiconductor surface and its reactions will be developed with reference to the standard framework of organic chemistry. Rather than give a comprehensive survey of the literature, we have selected examples that illustrate key features of the reactivity. Our discussion focuses on the (100)-2 x 1 reconstructed surface of Si and Ge, with some comparison made to the [Pg.352]
