Adsorption Isotherm for a Single Layer

Consider 1 cm of surface carrying an adsorbed layer of a moderator at a concentration of (Cs) g.cm 2 in contact with a liquid containing (Cm) g/cm . of the 

area of exposed surface = 1— NaS where (Na) is Avogadro s number. 

The number of molecules (Ni) leaving the surface per unit time will be proportional to the concentration of the adsorbed molecules.
