Adjustable atom

From a crystallographic perspective, the ideal perovskite stmeture is inflexible, as the unit cell has no adjustable atomic position parameters, so that any compositional change must be accommodated by a change in lattice parameter. This is a... [Pg.6]

An adjustable atom or bond is one that is selected. A frozen atom or bond is one which is not selected. A partially selected atom is a selected atom, some but not all of whose bonds are selected. For such an atom, the angle between each pair of circularly contiguous frozen bonds is preserved, whereas angles to the nonfrozen bonds are adjusted and optimized relative to the frozen bonds. [Pg.322]

Optimizing injection spray pattern, droplet size, etc., by adjusting atomizing and liquid pressures and by utilizing various injector tip arrangements at selective orientations... [Pg.898]

In this expression, A. is an adjustable atomic parameter, and p is a quantity computed from certain of tbe one-center repulsion integrals (Css, Gpp, and //sp). [Pg.2542]

Adjusted atomic parameters. Purely atomic parameters are the orbital exponents used for the calculation of one-center two-electron integrals F in equation (9). Other parameters which are of atomic nature but appear in interatomic terms are the orbital exponents 1 and K Current values for and K are given in Table 6. [Pg.2604]

In the paper by Spear and Gilles (1969) drawings of the VjBj and VjB structures were presented but without numerical values of the adjustable atom coordinates. The V2B3-type has been found later for VCoBj (KuS, 73) and the VsB -type for Cr2Ni3B (CeKK, 72). For these ternary structures the atom coordinates were listed. [Pg.137]
