Additional Information on Mechanical Integrity

In 1992, the Center for Chemical Process Safety (CCPS), a section of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, released a how-to book [28] which contains practical appendices on inspection and test procedures. These appendices comprise the practices at major chemical manufacturing facilities. Chapter 8 should be consulted for specific information and actual plant programs. [Pg.248]

Appendix 8-B of the CCPS book is entitled, Example ofTest and Inspection Equipment and Procedures. This appendix covers minimum testing and inspection requirements of all classified equipment. Classified equipment is equipment identified in operational safety standards and governmental regulations. [Pg.248]
