Active Hydrogen-Reactive p-Aminobenzoyl Biocytin, Diazotized

Active Hydrogen-Reactive p-Aminobenzoyl Biocytin, Diazotized [Pg.534]

The procedure for creating the diazonium derivative of p-aminobenzoyl biocytin and coupling to a protein or a nucleic acid is as follows. [Pg.535]

Dissolve 7.7 mg of sodium nitrite in 1 ml of ice-cold water. Prepare fresh. [Pg.536]

Mix 40 pi of the p-aminobenzoyl biocytin solution with 40 pi of the sodium nitrite solution. [Pg.536]

Stop the reaction by the addition of 35 pi of 1 N NaOH. Use immediately for biotinylation. [Pg.536]
