Aretz W, Meiwes J, Seibert Q Vobis Ci Wink J. (2000) Frinlimicins novel lipopeptide antibiotics with peptidoglycan synthesis inhibiting activity from Actinoplanes Friuliensis sp nov. J Antibiot 53 807-815. [Pg.181]

Friulimicins A, B, C and D, discovered by Aretz et al. in 2000, were isolated from the rare actinomycete, Actinoplanes friuliensis, in the screening for new antibiotics with activity against multidrug-resistant gram-positive bacteria such as MRSA and Friulimicins exhibit... [Pg.712]

Friulimicins (e.g., friulimicin A, 57) were isolated from Actinoplanes friuliensis DSM 7358. Friulimicin A is a cyclic peptide with lipophilic chain. Friulimicin A and daptomycin are cyclic peptides but differ mechanistically. Unfortunately, details of the mechanism of friulimicin are not fully understood. Friulimicin has also recently entered human clinical trials but was suspended recently. [Pg.127]
