Actinide complexes pyridine

Robel, W. (1970) Complex Compounds of Hexavalent Actinides with Pyridine Carboxylic Acids, West German Report KFK-1070. [Pg.83]

Treatment of UCI4 with the lithium complex obtained from dicyclohexylcar-bodiimide followed by crystallization from pyridine afforded a dinuclear uranium(rV) oxalamidinate complex in the form of dark green crystals in 94% yield (Scheme 191). The same compound could also be obtained by first reducing UCI4 to LiUCli (or UQs+LiCl) followed by reductive dimerization of di(cyclo-hexyl)carbodiimide as shown in Scheme 191. The molecular structure of this first oxalamidinato complex of an actinide element is depicted in Figure 31. ° ... [Pg.308]

As alluded to above, metal complexes of a number of lanthanide and actinide texaphyrin complexes have also been prepared. In the case of Dy(III) texaphyrin 9.74, as in the case of the bis-pyridine cadmium complex 9.61b, the metal center sits directly within the mean plane of the macrocycle (Figure 9.1.12). This result stands in direct contrast to the highly labile, typically sandwich-type 2 1 or 3 2 complexes observed for porphyrin complexes with these larger metal cations. ... [Pg.400]

Polyfunctional phosphinopyridine VV,P-dioxides, (phosphinomethyl)pyridine A,P-dioxides and bis(phosphinomethyl)pyridine VV,P,P-trioxides have been prepared, and selected coordination chemistry with actinide ions has been explored. The phosphinopyridine A,P-dioxides form bidentate chelates with uranyl and Th , and in the solid state these complexes display six-membered chelate rings that appear to be relatively sterically congested." " The solvent extraction properties of these ligands are not unique since they resemble the performance of trialkylphosphine oxides." ... [Pg.244]
