Acetic acid flash point

Acidity ae acetic acid Boiling point at 760 mm. Hg Color, Pt-Co Diatillation range Flash point, open cup Freezing point Molecular weight Refractive index, 20 C, ns Solubility in water, 20 C Solubility of water in, 20 C Specific gravity, 20/20 C Suspended matter Vapor pressure, 20 C Viscosity, 20 C... [Pg.394]

N)2C6H3.O.C6H3(N02)2 yel ndls (from ale), mp 194—95° (186°, probably impure) flash point above 360° diff sol in ale or eth easily sol in hot AcOH, ethyl acet, benz or chlf. It can be prepd by nitrating diphenyl ether with cold fuming nitric acid or with mixed nitric-sulfuric acid (Refs 1 2). It was prepd and examined by the Hercules Powder Co, Wilmington, Del and found to be of excellent stability. It can be detonated by No 6 (or stronger) caps, but not by impact or friction (Ref 3)... [Pg.347]

Acetic acid (glacial) will ignite at elevated temps (flash point 40°C). It will also irritate the skin mucuous membranes of the mouth throat. [Pg.428]

Acetic acid (ethanoic acid, vinegar acid, CH3C02H, melting point 16.6°C, boiling point 117.9°C, density 1.0490, flash point 43°C, ignition temperature 465°C) is a colorless, pungent liquid that is miscible with water, alcohol, and ether in all proportions. [Pg.11]

Ethyl acetate (boiling point 77.1, density 0.9005, flash point -4°C) is manufactured from ethyl alcohol and acetic acid. [Pg.212]
