Part I contains entries referring to the names of compounds according to the Chemical Abstracts Systematic Nomenclature (see Index Guide, Chemical Abstracts vol 76, 1972) The systematic name is followed by Chemical Abstracts Registry Number m brackets (see Chemical Abstracts Registry Handbook 1965-71 and Supplements) and page number... [Pg.131]

Hexabromocyclododecanes are additive BFRs used in polystyrene. In 2001 the global market demand for HBCD was 16 700 metric tons [29]. Of this amount, 2800 tons (17%) were used in North America, and 9500 tones (57%) were used in Europe [29]. The commercial product contains three isomers, among which the y isomer is the most predominant at 75-90% of the total. The a isomer is 10-13% of the total, and the p isomer is < 0.5-12% of the total [56]. The structures of these compounds are given here, but because there has been some confusion about their exact three-dimensional structures, their Chemical Abstracts Registry numbers are also given. Incidentally, these compounds are chiral. [Pg.383]

Table III lists all known bisbenzylisoquinoline alkaloids, their synonyms, and Chemical Abstracts registry numbers (when assigned), along with a reference in which their chemistry is discussed. To preserve continuity, the same reference letters are used here as in the table in Volume 16 of this treatise (cited herein). The pyrrolopyridines contain one nitrogen heteroatom in the five-membered pyrrole ring and one nitrogen atom in the six-membered pyridine ring. A more common name is azaindoles, with 7-azaindole (l//-pyrrolo[2,3-6]pyridine (1)) being the most widely studied isomer of the series. Twelve isomers of pyrrolopyridines are listed in the Chemical Abstracts Ring Formula Index. Table 1 lists the pyrrolopyridines with their Chemical Abstracts Registry Numbers. The 1//-pyrrolopyridines (l)-(6) are the most frequently prepared, but some work has also been carried out on the isomers (7), (8), and (10). Isomers (8), (9), (11), and (12) are tautomeric structures which are considered later (see Section 7.06.4.4). [Pg.169]

CAS No - Chemical Abstracts Registry Number, useful in specifying compound, helpful in finding MSDS data and locating manufacturers on web... [Pg.5]

Zr) to provide ease of use in quickly locating the data by using the chemical formula. The compound name and CAS No (Chemical Abstracts Registry Number) are next provided. Values for representative temperature and density at the representative temperature are given in the adjacent columns. The next column provides the code for the tabulation. [Pg.296]

S. S. Popov, N. L. Marekov, and D. N. Dimitrov, Compt. rend. Acad. bulg. Sci., 1975, 28, 651. Popov is not clear on what acevaltrate is however, see Chemical Abstracts Registry Number 25 161-41-5. [Pg.25]

The synonyms of carbonyl bromide fluoride include carbonic bromide fluoride (ACS nomenclature), carbonyl bromofluoride, carbon oxybromide fluoride and bromofluorophosgene. The lUPAC name is carbonyl bromide fluoride. The Chemical Abstracts Registry number for COBrF is [753-56-0]. [Pg.724]

It should be noted that the above lists vary widely in their choice of chemical names, and even in the use of Chemical Abstracts Registry Numbers. To the extent possible, we have attempted to systematize the names and registry numbers for this table. [Pg.123]
