A Loud Voice

It terrifies and angers me that we still don t have safe campgrounds or places to stay for the hundreds of refugees who are on the road right now in the Southwest in search of safe air. Some of these folks are desperate. Some of them are going to live and die in their cars. It is impossible for this to go on without a voice, a loud voice. 

Therefore will I follow the example of the Wise, and speak from my whole heart, and from certain true experience proved by me, and in the words of the Egyptians, and with a loud voice, do now proclaim 0 Man, know thy Self, in thee is hidden the Treasure of all treasures. 2... 

Severe Loss 70-90 May hear a loud voice about 1 foot from the ear, may identify environmental noises, may distinguish vowels but not consonants... 

This madman, then, is the first mortal to recognize Jesus true identity. But this identification, Jesus feels, is premature. He commands silence But Jesus rebuked him, saying, Be silent, and come out of him And the unclean spirit, convulsing him and crying with a loud voice, came out of him. ... 

This theme is repeated several times. Thus, as Jesus fame as a healer spreads, .. . all who had diseases pressed upon him to touch him. And whenever the unclean spirits beheld him, they fell down before him and cried out, You are the Son of God. And he strictly ordered them not to make him known. And again They came to the other side of the sea, to the country of the Gerasenes. And when he had come out of the boat, there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit, who lived among the tombs and no one could bind him any more, even with a chain. .. no one had the strength to subdue him and crying out with a loud voice, he said, What have you to do with me Jesus, Son of the Most High God ... 

This is followed by its return to the mother earth that gave it birth and its resurrection to life after thirty-six hours. And what of the words supposedly spoken by Jesus at the time of this crucifixion At the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani which means My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me (Mark 15.34). 

Every scientist in the West tries to estabhsh his ego. Each scientist has to put forward his own hypothesis to establish his raison d etre, even if he knows his hypothesis is not the absolute truth. Scientists have to advertise their hypotheses and their re-created world in a loud voice to be visible and to persuade other scientists. In the East, scientists have no big hypothesis to advertise. To advertise 1 and my something is quite bad manners in the East Scientists seek a highly specified fact. Once they have obtained such a fact, they do not have to speak because the fact speaks. In natural sciences, it is more natural and therefore better to let nature speak for itself than to let man speak scientists should keep silent. These are the aesthetics of the East. Similar aesthetics are found in various activities of Eastern people, such as the cooking I have referred to. 

Say I am in a grocery store. As I approach the checkout lane I see you speaking in a loud voice, demanding that the checkout clerk get her supervisor — NOW. Years of research show unequivocally that I am prone to think that you are a rude and aggressive person. When I observe others acting in a way that is generally negative, I am biased toward an internal, dispositional explanation for their behavior — that s just the kind of person they are. ... 

The enormous crowd advanced a few miles and gathered together in one place to pour out prayers to the Lord. Suddenly they saw a huge billow of smoke and they cried out to the Lord in a loud voice.
