A Condensed Compendium

This volume of the Specialist Periodical Reports "Organometallic Chemistry" surveys the literature for the calendar year 1986 in a format similar to that used in previous volumes in the series. The continued growth of this area of chemistry, together with the need to limit these books to a reasonable length, and yet provide comprehensive coverage, necessitates presentation of the subject matter in a highly condensed manner. Nevertheless, we believe the book, like its predecessors, provides research workers with a valuable compendium of progress in the field. [Pg.536]

The Condensed Chemical Dictionary is a unique publication. It is not a dictionary in the usual sense of an assemblage of brief definitions, but rather a compendium of technical data and descriptive information covering many thousands of chemicals and chemical phenomena, organized in such a way as to meet the needs of those who have only minutes to devote to any given substance or topic. [Pg.1388]

Turbulent Flow. A compendium of available / and Nu correlations for circular and noncircular flow passages are presented in Ref. 46. Table 17.16 is condensed from Ref. 46, summarizing the most accurate / and Nu correlations for smooth circular and noncircular passages. [Pg.1313]

Chemical thermodynamics is a compulsory part of undergraduate training in nearly all college curricula in the physical and chemical sciences. The principles of chemical thermodynamics are exposed in countless textbooks. This chapter gives a compendium of indispensable concepts for the purpose of studying the physical chemistry of condensed phases. One of the aims is to give a parallel discussion of classical and statistical methods in molecular thermodynamics. [Pg.194]
