O Brien Peak is located on the Amundsen Coast between the mouths of the Amundsen and Scott glaciers about 90 km east of the Duncan Mountains. The area was first visited in 1929 by members of Gould s sledging party who collected

O Brien Peak on the Amundsen Coast at 85 28 S and 156 42 W consists of metasedimentary rocks including beds of pure marble which are interbedded with schists, paragneiss.

O chains are in general made up of repeating units of di-, tri-, or higher oligosaccharides. In rare cases the O-chain is a homopolysaccharide. The structure of the O-chain is unique to each bacterial serotype great diversity is encountered in the structures of O-chains.

O Connor et al. were the first to systematically carry out spreading experiments using SME to monitor monodisperse PFPE films on silica as they spread with time. Later, Ma et al. reproduced and carefully examined these results for various carbon surfaces. Novotny , in actuality, pioneered the investigation of PFPEs, although his work mainly dealt with polydisperse PFPE samples. Our coworkers carefully examined and extended the earlier work of Novotny by investigating the spreading of monodisperse PFPEs on silica and various carbon surfaces in a controlled temperature and humidity environment.
