It was proposed that the observed preference for the major product 86 arose from the energetically favored cnclo transition structure of quinone imide 89. It was suggested that the alternative endo transition structure 90, leading to minor diastereomer 87, was disfavored because of an unfavorable A interaction. Cycloadduct 86 was subsequently elaborated into the proposed structure 88 of the antitubercular diterpene pseudop-teroxazole. Corey s elegant total synthesis firmly established that the reported structure of the natural product had been misassigned.

It was revealed that electrical resistivity of the Cr thin films is likely to be caused by strong electron correlation, because 3d transition metal monoxides except for TiO and VO indicated insulator properly, and Cr203 is a Mott insulator. In order to reveal the cause, it is necessary for additional analyses such as carrier electron and density of state.

It was seen that viscosity decreased with temperature at all shear rates and this effect was more pronounced above 100 C and at higher shear rates.

It was shown by the STM data processing that the distance between two flat parts of the copper surface, polished both mechanically and electrochemically, is several atomic diameters of copper.11 The same distance for the copper surface polished only mechanically is approximately 70 atomic diameters of copper. Also, it can be seen from Figs. 1 la and 1 lb that these relatively flat parts of the surface are to a higher degree mutually parallel for the copper surface

It was speculated , that e.g. in case of the bromides the oxybromide of dubnium has been formed rather than the pure pentabromide. However, this would mean that under identical gas chemical conditions Nb and Ta form pure bromides while Db does not. If true, Db has a much higher tendency to react with oxygen compared to the lighter homologues Nb and Ta. So, presently it remains open whether the AH values for Db shown in

It was the purpose of one of the series of experiments conducted to determine if other electrode configurations would be desirable. The configurations shown in Figures 4b, 4c, 4d, and 4e were used. The qualitative observations were sufficient to determine that electrodes, using No. 16 copper wire, hooked up as in

It will also be noticed that this arrangement of lactose places the C2-hydroxyl group of the n-glucose residue in approximately the same position as the primary hydroxyl group of

It will be larger if the current density or the resistivity is higher. Also, the results shown in

It will be lower some CO2 has to react with CaO to make some CaCOs.

It will be mentioned that no experiments are carried out unless the surfaees are verified to be as untainted and as highly organized as those exemplified in Figs. 6 and 7.

It will be noticed that values of flow factor exist only in a triangular region this defines the conditions under which mass flow is possible.

It will be seen that by blowing on the one tube the pressure is developed on the surface of the water and the water is forced out of the other tube. Here is an instance where the bottle can be used. We will assume that we are filtering solid matter from the solution. If the solution is passed through the filter paper the solid matter will be left about the sides of the paper. Being that it is the solid matter and not the solution that we wish to obtain it will be necessary to wash the solid matter down into the bottom of the filter paper. This is done very carefully with the wash bottle.

It will increase.

It would be difficult for a bus to pull up parallel to this bus stop

It would be easy for me to abandon technical issues

It would be more spread out, the maximum of the curve would be lower and to the right of the maximum of the red curve, and a greater fraction of molecules would have kinetic energy greater than than for the red curve.

It would be to the right of the yellow member of the series, but the energy gap between filled and empty d orbitals would be even larger than that of the yellow one.

It would decrease. To reestablish equilibrium the concentration of C02 g would need to return to its previous value. The only way to do that would be for more CaC03 to decompose to produce enough C02 g to replace what was lost.

It would increase.

It would not have been possible to deduce the constants by simple inspection of the titration curves pH vs. volume of titrant, as in
