Y-Diethylaminoethanol

Nitro-4-propyl-oxy-benzoic acid is first converted to the acid chloride by refluxing with thionyl chloride, and after removal of the excess thionyl chloride the acid chloride is reacted with y-diethylaminoethanol in benzene solution. [Pg.2880]

The diethylaminoethanol-3-nitro-4-propylbenzoate hydrochloride obtained is then reduced in the presence Fe and HCI, to give the y-diethylaminoethanol-3-amino-4-propyl benzoate. [Pg.2880]
