Xia Ku Cao

Xia Ku Cao is pungent, bitter and cold, and enters the Liver meridian. It can clear heat, tonify the blood and disperse the obstruction. It is effective for treating dizziness, headache and painful eyes. It can also dissipate nodules and is often used for treating distending pain in the breasts due to Liver-fire and phlegm. [Pg.97]

Irritability, dry eyes and blurred vision use Mu Dan Pi (Moutan cortex), Ju Hua (Chrysanthemi flos) and Xia Ku Cao (Prunellae spied) to reduce the Liver-heat and improve vision. [Pg.152]
