With Group IV Element Hydrides

Bis[triethylsilyl] tellurium reacted with triethylgermane with liberation of triethylsilane and formation of bis[triethylgermyl] tellurium . Bis[triethylgermyl] tellurium and triethyl-stannane reacted similarly  [Pg.16]

Bi [triethylstannyl] Tellnrium A mixture of 1.91 g (9.2 mmol) of triethylstannane and 2.10 g (4.7 mmol) of bis[triethylgermyl] tellurium is heated in a sealed, evacuated tube at 170° for 1 h. The reaction mixture is then fractionated under reduced pressure in a stream of argon yield 1.8 g (72%) b.p. 125-129°/ torr. [Pg.17]

Bis[triethylsilyl] tellurium and triethylgermane at 230° for 36 hours produced bis[triethylgermyl] tellurium (b.p. 126 129°/2 torr) in 79% yield .  [Pg.17]
