While Operating a Walkie

The operator must always face the direction of travel. 

Never walk faster than the speed of the unit being operated. 

Only one person must operate the unit at one time. There must be a no riders rule. 

To prevent being struck or having one s foot run over by the truck, walk to one side when the load is trailing the operator. 

Focus on the movement of the equipment near workers, other powered equipment, and obstacles in the path of travel. Always be aware of the position of the load and forks.
