It has been speculated that the vapor pressures of some organotin compounds may be high enough such that they could partition to the atmosphere (Donard and Weber 1988 WHO 1980), but no actual measurements were available. The vapor pressure of one organotin, bis(tributyltin) oxide was estimated to be 8.4x10 atm and essentially nonvolatile (Maguire et al. 1983). Methyltins were not detected in rain-water samples (Byrd and Andreae 1986).

Jacob Andreas Weber described many experiments with quicklime and alkalis, concluding that Black s and Meyer s theories are both false. The sun is a great electrified sphere, its electric matter sets the earth s atmosphere in motion, this gives heat to other bodies. Boyle s experiments showed that heat is a ponderable body, quicklime heats with water, and causticity is caused by electric matter in the form of phlogiston being removed from mild alkali by lime, etc. ... 

Jakob Andreas Weber (1742-12 January 1792), M.D. Tubingen, lived at first in Tubingen, then Vienna, and finally near Coburg, where he was active in a Prussian blue factory. He published many works, including one criticising Black and Meyer (see p. 152) ...
