7 Visualization of the Microfilament System with FITC-phalloidin 

C2 toxin-induced depolymerization of actin filaments is visualized by fluorescence labeling of actin with FITC- or Rhodamine-phalloidin. 

I Cells grown on coverslips and treated with C2 toxin are rinsed with PBS. 

The cells are then fixed with a solution containing 4 % (w/v) paraformaldehyde and 0.1 % (v/v) Triton X-100 in PBS for 60 min at room temperature, followed by rinsing three times with PBS.
