Virgins’ Milk

Following the Sovereignty of Jupiter, Venus now becomes the green of the new Kingdom of the Air, which now nourishes and washes the developing material Sun Child with its Virgin Milk.

ACETUM PHILOSOPHORUM — is Philosophical Vinegar, that is. Virgin s Milk, or Mercurial Water, in which metals are dissolved. One of its Hermetic names was Sophie Hydor. According to Theophrastus, the Philosophical Vinegar is the Chemist s Vitriol-water, but the Turba states that it is the water of mercury which dissolves gold. Others affirm that Philosophical Vinegar is that which is made from fresh shells of tortoises by sublimation and distillation. 

Milk of Virgin, or of the Fig — for it renders things sweet, white, delicious, and wholesome. 

It is of the nature of silver, and of the spirit of the same, the White Stone, the Disappearing Water, Virgin s Milk, the Proud Lady. 

WATER — Dry Water which does not wet the hands. It must be remembered in this connection that those Adepts who give this name to their Mercury are followers of the Dry Way in the operation of the Magisterium those who, like Paracelsus, Basil Valentine, etc., are operators of the Humid Way, apply to the same substance the appellation of Virgin s Milk, because it is a white liquor which does wet the hands, while the other is a fluid Mercury of the nature of Vulgar Quicksilver. 

Soursop juice is popular for pepping up cocktails, both spiked and virgin. Vanilla and condensed milk are frequently mixed with the juice on Dominica,... 

When the glass with the Blackness has stood for 8 days and nights in a gentle fire, it is then removed from the fire. Then the Blackness is being moistened with the Virgin s Milk, drop by drop, and in such a manner, that the dryness continues to keep the upper hand. 

Through these imbibations with the solar Virgin s Milk, the materia prima is brought higher and higher to a redness, until eventually, the Colour of Perfection of the purple redness appears.
