Vesicant Agent and Corrosive Substances Toxidromes

Signs and symptoms develop with different latencies depending on the ambient temperature. The latency of the appearance of the toxidrome reduces as the ambient temperature increases.

20-60 min nausea, retching, vomiting and eye smarting, sometimes no initial symptoms 

2-6 h nausea, fatigue, headache, painful eye inflammation, lacrimation, blepharospasm, photophobia and rhinorrhoea face and neck erythema sore throat, hoarse or total voice loss tachycardia, tachypnoea
