Vepris ampody

Vepris ampody Rutaceae 1 bowl, 3-4 times daily... [Pg.221]

Cathine (d-norpseudoephedrine), cathinine, and ephedrine have been isolated from the leaves of Catha edulis.14 Examination of Erica lusitanica yielded p-methoxy-/ -phenethylamine, which had previously been shown to be absent in 16 other Erica species and 28 other Ericaceous plants.15 Phenylacetamide has been isolated from Vepris ampody.lSa... [Pg.98]

Nona-2,6-dienyl)-4-quinolone 300 CisH2iNO 103 Vepris ampody 134... [Pg.178]

The constituents of Vepris ampody H. Perr. were studied by Potier and co-workers (134), and three new alkaloids were identified mainly by spectroscopic means as pseudans with Cg or side chains. One alkaloid, C18H21NO, was clearly a 2-nonadienyl-4-quinolone, for catalytic reduction furnished 2-nonyl-4-quinolone. In the NMR spectrum, a two-proton multiplet at r8.05 and a three-proton triplet at 9.15 indicated that the group -CH=CH-CH2-CH3 was present, while a six-proton multiplet at... [Pg.180]

Dictyohma incanescens-. The bark of this rutaceous (the citrus family) species was found to contain low concentrations of 5-Methoxy-DiMethyiTryptamine (5-MeO-dmt), with 0.04% (expressed as the picrate salt) obtained by isolation (Pachter et 1959)- There is no evidence of shamanic use of this plant, and the entheogenic 5-MeO DMT is not active orally in any case (see Chapter 3, Effects of Entheogenic Tryptamines and entry below for Vepris ampody, mentioning other citrus species). [Pg.199]

Vepris ampody. Leaves and branches of this mtaceous plant were recendy shown to be rich in 7V,7V-DiMethylTryptainine (dmt). Up to 0.22% dmt has been found in this plant, making it one of the richer known sources of this valuable compound (Kan-Fan et al 1970). Two other mtaceous species, Limonia acidissima and Zan-... [Pg.201]
