Using Separate Dock Door

Operators must not drive with unstable loads. Use banding or nylon binders on loads to prevent them from falling. Do not use pedestrians to balance or hold onto loads. [Pg.166]

Keep pedestrians away from battery and fiiel charging areas. Only authorized eiiqiloyees are allowed to perform these operations. [Pg.166]

Operators must never jump off moving equipment. Wait for the equipment to come to a complete stop before getting off. Pedestrians have been struck by unoccupied moving equipment. [Pg.166]

Operators should take advantage of lift trucks alarms and mirrors. However, looking in the direction of travel is very important operators should make eye contact with pedestrians before moving the truck. [Pg.166]

Where blind spots or areas exist that require special attention, use spotters as guides. Do not move the lift truck unless cleared by a spotter and the spotter is physically clear of the load. [Pg.166]
