Mites or nematodes present. Insufficient pasteurization. Compost with dense overwet areas. Unclean substrate containers or spawning tools. Pasteurize 2 hrs. at 140° F. Review composting and filling procedures. Containers and tools should be disinfected before use. 

The adhesives are formulated to meet particular strength and durability requirements under specified conditions but must be capable of providing these results when applied to unclean substrates. The level of uncleanliness is normally defined as that produced by the rolling mill oils and/or the pressing lubricants. If the level of contamination is excessive, remedial action is taken to remove the excess.
