Uncaria florida

Uncaria florida is also a Formosan climber. Pteropodine (uncarine C) and its isomers, isopteropodine (uncarine E) and speciophylline (uncarine D), have been isolated from the roots and stems of Uncaria florida (61). It is probable that the main alkaloid is pteropodine it can be easily isomerized to isopteropodine under alkali extraction conditions (9). [Pg.235]
