Ultrafast kinetic spectroscopy of bleaching intermediates at room temperature

The room temperature kinetics of formation and decay of the early bleaching intermediates was investigated by pulsed laser excitation methods with nanosecond [113-116] and picosecond resolution. In these experiments, the sample is first excited by an intense, picosecond pulse and subsequently is probed by a weaker pulse this allows study of the events occurring as a result of the excitation, including the relaxation of the excited state.
