Types of Ligands and Nomenclature

The recommended lUPAC nomenclature rules for coordination compounds are as follows  

The cation Is listed first, then a space, followed by the anion. 

Any ligands that are part of the inner coordination sphere are listed first, followed immediately by the name of the metal with its oxidation state in parentheses. 

The following prefixes are used to indicate the number of each type of ligand in the inner sphere
