Type of screeds

There are two types of screeds, the fixed type and the variable type. In the fixed type, the width of the screed is fixed and, when needed, is changed manually. In the variable type, the width of the screed is changed telescopically by the push of a button. The latter is the more common type of screed, although in some applications, fixed screeds have been found to be the most economical option. 

The operating width for variable-type screeds typically ranges from approximately 2.5 to 9.5 m, while for fixed/manually extended-type screeds, the operation width may even reach 16.0 m.
